atha vyavasthitān dṛṣṭvā
dhārtarāṣṭrān kapi-dhvajaḥ
pravṛtte śastra-sampāte
dhanur udyamya pāṇḍavaḥ

“Then did Pāṇḍava1– the Kapidhvaja2, seeing the hosts of Dhṛitarāshtra drawn up, and seeing the shower of arrows falling fast, raising his bow,”
