mruthyu: sarvaharaS chAham udbhavaS cha bhavishyathAm |
kIrthi: SrIr vAk cha nArINAm smṛuthir mEdhA dhruthi: kshamA ||

I am death which robs the lives of all creatures and the act of creation for the creatures which are created; among women I am SrIdhEvi, SrI mahAlakshmi (who is the leader), kIrthi dhEvi (presiding deity for fame), vAk dhEvi (presiding deity for speech), smruthi dhEvi (presiding deity for memory), mEdhA dhEvi (presiding deity for intellect), dhruthi dhEvi (presiding deity for courage) and kshamA dhEvi (presiding deity for forbearance).

‘And the all-capturing Death, I am; and the Origin of all to come; of feminine (virtues) I am fame1, prosperity2, and speech3, memory4 and intellect5, courage6 and forbearance7.’

I am Death, the great Depriver of all life. And I am the act known as Birth of all that is going to be born. Of what is feminine (or known as feminine perfections, or the female Deities presiding over these qualities), I am Prosperity (Śrī), also Fame (Kīrti), also Speech (Vāk) also Memory (Smṛiti), also Intellect (Medhā), also courage (Dḥṛitih), also forbearance (Kshamā)8, courage6.
