yOga lakshyE – to attain yOgam (Athma sAkshAthkAram – self realization)
AthmAnubhUthi SidhyarththE – (and further) to attain AthmAnubhavam (blissful experience of self)
pUrva shatkEna – In the first hexade (six chapters)

The first hexade (six chapters) ordains karma yOgam and gyAna yOgam which are decorated (with knowledge about one’s servitude and detachment towards worldly matters) to attain self-realization and blissful experience of self.

svadharma gyAna vairAgya sAdhya bhakthyEka gOchara: |
nArAyaNa parambrahma gIthA SAsthrE samIritha: ||

  • parambrahma – one who is the supreme brahmam

  • samIritha: – is announced/revealed

Such bhagavAn is revealed in the SAsthram named [bhagavath] gIthA.
