The effects, cleaving, burning, soaking, drying etc., take place by the agents (weapons etc.), penetrating the things which become subject to their operation. Hence <em>\u0101tm\u0101<\/em> is essentially fixed (<em>sth\u0101\u1e47u<\/em>) i.e., of permanent nature; it is motionless (<em>achala<\/em>), i.e., imperturbable (<em>a-prakampya<\/em>).
