Chapter 2<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 2 verse 54<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n \u015br\u012b-bhagav\u0101n uv\u0101ca \u015ari Bhagav\u0101n (Lord K\u1e5bish\u1e47a) answers:<\/span><\/p>\n ‘Then is he called \u2018sthita-praj\u00f1a\u1e25<\/em>,\u2019 P\u0101rtha! when he shall have fully discarded all desires rooted in the heart, and when his mind shall have become solely \u0100tm\u0101<\/em>-satisfied.'[1. This stage is called Va\u015b\u012bk\u0101ra-Sa\u1e43j\u00f1\u0101<\/em>.]<\/span><\/p>\n Whereas, when the peculiar occupation (of the Adept) is described, his character becomes known, therefore that occupation is described. By his mind (\u0101tman\u0101<\/em>), being made to fully occupy itself with (thoughts of) \u0101tm\u0101 (soul) alone, he is said to be \u2018\u0101tm\u0101<\/em>-satisfied.\u2019 When with mind so occupied (or absorbed), other desires abiding therein are thoroughly banished, then is he called \u2018sthita-praj\u00f1a\u1e25<\/em>\u2019 (will-concentrated or wisdom-ripe).<\/span><\/p>\n This is the ultimate stage (or climax) of wisdom-culture.
