Chapter 2<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 2 verse 60<\/a><\/p>\n thAni sarvANi samyamya yuktha AsItha mathpara: |<\/em> thAni sarvANi – all those senses (which are difficult to overcome due to being attached to worldly pleasures) Let him live pulling back all those senses (which are difficult to overcome due to being attached to worldly pleasures) from worldly pleasures and engaging in me, being self satisfied; for the one who has his senses including mind in control (by my grace), isn’t his knowledge firm?<\/p>\n ‘Restraining them all, and (mind)-collected, let him remain absorbed in Me. His wisdom (or will) is confirmed indeed whose senses are under control.’<\/span><\/p>\n Whoso wishes to succeed in overcoming (the difficulty presented by the mutual dependence of sense-conquest and \u0101tm\u0101<\/em>-cognition, explained in the previous verse), he ought to rein in the senses, – which on account of their cravings for pleasures, it is so difficult to govern – and make Me the Holy Subject for his mind\u2019s occupation; and thus, established in undisturbed serenity (yukta\u1e25<\/em>), let him be.<\/span><\/p>\n When the mind is so drilled to have Me for it to muse over, all impurities are burnt up; the mind is purified and clear, and freed from all longings.
