To the skeptic-minded, this world is not, nor the other, nor happiness.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>A-j\u00f1a\u1e25<\/em> or ignorant: is he who is uninstructed in wisdom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>A-\u015braddha-dh\u0101na\u1e25<\/em> or the non-earnest: is he who lacks faith or fervour, even after instruction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The skeptic: is he who doubts the knowledge he has received.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The man of this disposition perishes. That is, that to the man who doubts the true nature of \u0101tma, which is taught him, there is neither this material world, nor the other (svarga etc).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is to say, he forfeits all the fruits of man\u2019s ambition; <em>dharma<\/em>, <em>artha<\/em> and <em>k\u0101ma<\/em>[1. See commentary of <a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/4-31\/\">verse 31<\/a>. Dharma and Artha are <em>S\u0101dhanas<\/em> (means); <em>K\u0101ma<\/em> and <em>Moksha<\/em> are <em>S\u0101dhyas<\/em>(ends or goals).]. while so, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/whence\">whence<\/a> <em>moksha<\/em>?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For, all the ambitions of man are gratifiable by carrying out some one or the other of \u015a\u0101stra-enjoined duties.
