The mind verily is \u0101tma\u2019s friend, as well, indeed, its foe.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u0100tman\u0101<\/em> means : by the mind. Through the mind, detached from sense-pleasures, \u0101tma shall be lifted (<em>i.e.<\/em>, elevated to noble thoughts and spiritual heights). But let not, \u2014through the mind being employed in a reverse direction to that above stated (<em>i.e.<\/em>, by attachment to objects)\u2014, \u0101tma be harassed.
