Chapter 7<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 7 verse 2<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n manu\u1e63y\u0101\u1e47\u0101\u1e41 sahasre\u1e63u ‘One perchance amid a thousand mortals strives for perfection. Even of those who so strive for perfection, \u2018tis seldom one knows Me truly.’<\/span><\/p>\n Men are capable of acting in accordance with the behests of \u015a\u0101stra. Thousands may so act, but hardly one is found who will persevere till the end \u2014viz<\/em>: perfection,\u2014 is attained. Of thousands again, who may be found to be sustaining in their efforts to reach the goal, scarcely one is discovered, who, understanding Me, works through Me to perfection. Of thousands who may know Me, rarely one knows Me verily as I am. Not one, is meant. So it is declared further on thus:\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n (Sa mah\u0101tm\u0101 etc<\/em>).: \u2018That great-souled one is most hard to find\u2019 (VII-19<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n (M\u0101\u1e43 tu veda etc<\/em>) : \u2018But Me, not one knows\u2019 (VII-26<\/a>)[1.
