He is large hearted and is difficult to attain for me (in this world).<\/p>\n<h3>Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy\u2019s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Become wise at the end of many births, one worships Me. That high-souled saint (<em>mah\u0101tma<\/em>) is very rare, to whom V\u0101sudeva[2. This is the 334th, 700th and 714th name of God. See <em>Mah\u0101-bh\u0101. Moksha Dharma<\/em>-166; <em>Ud:par:<\/em>68-3; <em>Vish:pur:<\/em> i-2-12. V\u0101sudeva has four <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/hypostases\">hypostases<\/a>, Para-V\u0101sudeva, Vy\u016bha-V\u0101sudeva, Vasudeva\u2019s Son, He who permeates all and sports. Vide note 2, p: 261.] is all.[3. Cp. with <a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-3-original\/\">VII-3<\/a>].&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It takes not a few births of meritorious works, for one to ripen into that consummate wisdom that the soul is by nature the servant of the Lord. It takes many births of a meritorious kind, at the end of which one will know: \u2018I am essentially liege (\u015aesha) to V\u0101sudeva; my doings, my (nature) and my very being, dependent on Him. As for Him, He is most Superior by His countless Glorious Attributes.\u2019 Then is he <em>j\u00f1\u0101nav\u0101n<\/em>, the sage or the wise or illuminated person. This is how he reflects: \u2018V\u0101sudeva is My Highest Goal, V\u0101sudeva is My Way; whatsoever my heart longeth, all that is V\u0101sudeva to me,\u2019[4. He who looks on God as his father, friend, mother, lover etc., and and all. Cp. Sub: Up: 6, and <a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/11-17-original\/\">Bh: Gi: XI-17<\/a>.]. Such is the high-souled one who is very rare to be found in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018V\u0101sudeva is All\u2019 to me,\u2019 means that which was declared to be the nature of the <em>j\u00f1\u0101ni<\/em> in:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>Priyo hi<\/em> etc.,) \u2018Very dear indeed am I to the <em>j\u00f1\u0101ni<\/em>,\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-17-original\/\">vii-17<\/a>) and,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>\u0100sthitas etc.,<\/em>) \u2018Is not he My sole-devoted, dependent on Me as the only Unsurpassable Goal?\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-18-original\/\">vii-18<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And the <em>j\u00f1\u0101nav\u0101n<\/em>, or the wisdom-ripe is he who is of the kind described in these verses. (a real God lover=the <em>Bhakt\u0101<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The knowledge or wisdom of this <em>j\u00f1\u0101ni<\/em> is such as is declared in:\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>Bh\u016bmir \u0101po etc.<\/em>) \u2018Earth, water etc\u2019,&#8230;and egotism is the eight-fold division of My Nature\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-4-original\/\">vii-4<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>Apareyam etc.,<\/em>) \u2018But this is inferior. Know My other Nature superior than that, the living Nature\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-5-original\/\">vii-5<\/a>); where the essentially dependent (or allegiant) nature of the two Categories of Matter and Soul, on the Supreme Spirit, is pointed out. Again is his wisdom such as is declared in:\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>Aham k\u1e5bitsnasya etc.,<\/em>) I am the Origin and the End of all the Kosmos. (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-6-original\/\">vii-6<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>Matta\u1e25 parataram etc.<\/em>) \u2018Naught whatever higher than I exists, Dhana\u00f1jaya!\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-7-original\/\">vii-7<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<em>Ye-ch-aiva etc.,<\/em>) \u2018Those things that are s\u0101tvika, and those r\u0101jas\u0101 and t\u0101masa know, they all deduce from Me alone. But I am not in them, in Me are they.\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/7-12-original\/\">vii-12<\/a>);<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is evident from these (verses) that both the two Natures (Matter and Soul), in both their conditions of cause and effect, are dependent on the Supreme Spirit for their very existence, character and impulses, and that the Supreme Spirit is in every way Superior to all.[1.
