Chapter 8<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 8 verse 6<\/a><\/p>\n thasmAth sarvEshu kAlEshu mAm anusmara yudhya cha |<\/em> thasmAth – thus Thus, you shall think about me only, at all times (until death); engage in the battle as well; (in this manner) with mind and intellect focussed on me, you will attain me (as you desired); there is no doubt in this.<\/p>\n ‘Then do you at all times remember Me and fight. Dedicating heart and will to Me, you shall doubtless reach Me alone.’<\/span><\/p>\n Inasmuch as the last flash of consciousness (in a dying man) will be that to which, one, by constant pondering, will by habit, become accustomed, do you unceasingly daily practice meditating on Me till the very moment of your departure.<\/span><\/p>\n And fight<\/em>. This means, do the work that is before you, and all other \u015aruti-and-Sm\u1e5biti-enjoined works, such as the daily, and occasional duties, apportioned to the several castes (var\u1e47as) and orders (\u0101\u015bramas), so that while discharging them I may be in your memory daily. This is the most expedient method by which you can succeed in keeping your manas<\/em> and buddhi<\/em> (heart and will) set on Me, and thus remembering Me at the last moment, you shall reach Me according to your wish. There is no doubt about this.<\/span><\/p>\n Having now stated that to all in common, the attainment of their particular wishes is dependent on the last thought, the different modes of meditative devotion (up\u0101san\u0101<\/em>), appropriate for each class, compatible with the aim they cherish to attain to, are now described.
