A matronymic of Arjuna.]! enter into My Nature at the end of a Kalpa[3. Again do I emit them at the beginning of a Kalpa[4. See footnotes to <a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/4-4-original\/#fn-1994-1\">verse 4.4<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/4-8-original\/#fn-2021-1\">verse 4.8<\/a>.].&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All movable and immovable things enter into My own Nature, i.e. <em>prak\u1e5biti<\/em> which is My body designated <em>tamas<\/em> (darkness=the indistinguishable, indifferentiate vast expanse of matter-stuff;, which has no name, form and division (in its indistinct state).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>At the end of a Kalpa<\/em>: when the period of dissolution comes for the four-faced Brahma. At that time all creatures pass into Me by My will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The self-same creatures do I bring forth again at the dawning of a Kalpa. Says Manu:\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;This became full of <em>tamas<\/em> (darkness)&#8217; etc.,[5. <em>Manu<\/em>: i-5. (\u0100s\u012bd idam tamo-bh\u016btam etc).]<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;He, willing (to produce) from His own body&#8217; etc.,[6. <em>Manu<\/em>: i-8. (So`bhidhy\u0101ya \u015bar\u012br\u0101t sv\u0101t etc).]<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say the \u015arutis also thus:\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Of Whom <em>avyakta<\/em> (indiscernible matter) is body'[7. <em>Sub: Up:<\/em> 7. Yasy\u0101 `vyaktam \u015bar\u012bram etc).].<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;<em>Avyakta<\/em> merges into <em>akshara<\/em>, and <em>akshara<\/em> into <em>tamas<\/em>&#8216;[8. <em>Sub: Up:<\/em> 2 (Avyaktam akshare l\u012byate etc).].<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;It was <em>tamas<\/em> in the beginning, by <em>tamas<\/em> was all hidden and indiscernible (<em>apraketam<\/em>)\u2019[9. <em>Tait: Br\u0101:<\/em> ii-8-9 and <em>Rig Veda<\/em> viii-7-17.
