Chapter 11<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 11 verse 53<\/a><\/p>\n bhakthyA thvananyayA Sakya aham Evam vidhO\u2019rjuna |<\/em> paranthapa! arjuna! – Oh arjuna who torments the enemies! Oh arjuna who torments the enemies! It is possible to truly (through SAsthram) know me, see me and attain me in this manner only by svayam prayOjana bhakthi (selfless exclusive bhakthi).<\/p>\n ‘By Bhakti alone, Arjuna! \u2014exclusive\u2014 am I possible to be thus \u2014in essence\u2014 seen and known and penetrable, Parantapa!’<\/span><\/p>\n By Vedas<\/em>, includes teaching the Vedas, inculcating their sense, learning (by rote<\/a>), hearing, meditating etc.<\/span><\/p>\n Sacrifices<\/em>=oblating in fire etc., (agnihotra<\/em>), and performing the great ritualistic Sacrifices (y\u0101ga<\/em>):<\/span><\/p>\n Devoid of Love (Bhakti) to Me, none of these, alms-givings, or rigid austerities etc., are independently, of any avail to disclose Me as My true Self. But by Love (Bhakti) exclusive, I am easy to be known<\/em> in the manner that \u015a\u0101stras promulgate Me; I am easy to be seen<\/em> as I, in essence, am; and I am easy to be penetrable<\/em>, in essence. (=Divine Communion=the actual blessed experience of the soul in God-fellowship).<\/span><\/p>\n So chants the \u015aruti:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018Not by deliberation is this \u0100tma reachable, nor by concentration, nor by much hearing (learning), but is reached by him whom He may elect; to whom He may (choose to) reveal His Essence\u2019.[1.
