Chapter 13<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 13 verse 12<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n sarvata\u1e25 p\u0101\u1e47i-p\u0101da\u1e41 tat ‘Everywhere hands and feet, that (kshetraj\u00f1a, is) ; eyes, heads and faces everywhere, and all-hearing; abides in the world encompassing all.’<\/span><\/p>\n Everywhere hands and feet, that<\/em>= The pure soul-nature is capable of doing everywhere what hands and feet do (in the embodied state). Similarly, it is capable of performing the functions of seeing, hearing etc (without the physical organs).<\/span><\/p>\n That Para-brahm, \u2014albeit possessing no hands, feet etc., is yet capable of performing the functions of such members,\u2014 is declared by such \u015aruti passages as:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018Handless, footless, He fast moves and grasps; eyeless, He sees; earless, He hears etc. \u2019[2. That pratyag\u0101tma (soul) also, in its pure nature, and as co-essential with Para-brahm, has this capacity of performing functions without organs, is a clear conclusion from the \u015aruti, when it declares:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018Then the wise (soul), casting off merit and demerit, and become purified, attains transcendent equality (with Brahm).\u2019[3.
