Chapter 13<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 13 verse 20.5<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n k\u0101ra\u1e47a\u1e41 gu\u1e47a-sa\u1e45go \u2019sya ‘Attachment to qualities (gunas) is the cause of births in good and evil wombs.’<\/span><\/p>\n This soul, born in a series of retrospective births among devas, man etc., \u2014all variations of matter-forms,\u2014 delights in (or evinces attachment for) gu\u1e47a-sated<\/a> pleasures etc., varying in their s\u0101tvika<\/em> and other characteristics according to the incidents of such births; and in so doing launches into activities, good or evil, in order to procure for itself such pleasures. In order then to reap the fruits of such good or evil acts, it is inevitably born again in good or evil wombs (respectively). Born, he acts again; acting, he is born again.
