Chapter 13<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 13 verse 29<\/a><\/p>\n yadhA bhUtapruthagbhAvam Ekastham anupaSyathi |<\/em> bhUtha pruthagbhAvam – the diversity in the combination of jIvAthmAs and different types of bodies such as dhEva (celestials), manushya (humans), thiryak (animals) and sthAvara (plants) When one sees the diversity in the combination of jIvAthmAs and different types of bodies such as dhEva (celestials), manushya (humans), thiryak (animals) and sthAvara (plants) in a single entity (that is prakruthi (matter)), and when one sees the diversity from that prakruthi itself as diverse (within the same species such as son, grandson etc), he attains his own self’s natural position.<\/p>\n ‘When he perceives the diversity of existence centred in the unity; that from unity alone is expansion, then does he attain to brahma (soul).’<\/span><\/p>\n Diversity (p\u1e5bithag-bh\u0101va<\/em>) is the diversity such as being deva, being man, being short, being tall etc., seen in the variety of existences such as deva and the rest, \u2014existences constituted<\/a> of the dual principles of prak\u1e5biti<\/em> (matter-stuff) and purusha<\/em> (spirit-stuff)<\/span><\/p>\n Eka-stham<\/em>=centred in the unity=the unique principle (=eka-tatva<\/em>) =the matter-stuff not the soul-stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n Expansion (vist\u0101ra<\/em>) is the multiplication of differentiated<\/a> existences to run on in successive form-manifestations such as children, grand-children etc., all emanating from that unique matter-principle.
