Chapter 13<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 13 verse 33<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n k\u1e63etra-k\u1e63etraj\u00f1ayor evam ‘They attain to the Transcendent, who by the wisdom-eye ken<\/a> the difference betwixt<\/a> Kshetra and Kshetraj\u00f1a, also (do they attain) deliverance<\/a> from matter manifest<\/a>.’<\/span><\/p>\n Difference=(antaram<\/em>)=the distinctive<\/a> characteristics of Kshetra (matter) and Kshetraj\u00f1a (soul).<\/span><\/p>\n Wisdom-eye<\/em>=(j\u00f1ana-chakshush)=the eye of discrimination<\/a>,<\/span><\/p>\n Bh\u016bta-prak\u1e5biti-moksha<\/em>=matter as manifested in its differentiated aspects of diverse existences. This is bh\u016bta-prak\u1e5biti<\/em>, (as distinguished from primordial<\/a> or root-matter).<\/span><\/p>\n Moksha<\/em>=deliverance=that which effects deliverance, viz<\/em>; the means of such deliverance as stated in \u2018Reverence\u2019 (etc., Gi:<\/em> XIII-7<\/a>–ff<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n Hence, those who comprehend (1) the distinction subsisting between matter (kshetra<\/em>) and soul (kshetraj\u00f1a<\/em>) and (2) the means of effecting escape from the trammels<\/a> of manifested<\/a> corporeal<\/a> existence \u2014those means being the practice of such virtues as am\u0101nitvam<\/em> (reverence) etc., already enumerated, (XIII-7<\/a> ff<\/em>) \u2014reach the param<\/em>=the Transcendent, viz<\/em>., the enfranchised \u0101tma, or find \u0101tma in its essential state of unhampered<\/a> or infinitely expanded consciousness[1. \u2018This is the process of unravelling and unfolding\u2019 recognized by Bruns and others down to Tyndall.
