Chapter 15<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 15 verse 1<\/a><\/p>\n adhaS chOrdhvam cha prasruthAs thasya SAkhA guNapravrudhdhA vishayapravALA: |<\/em><\/p>\n thasya – that tree’s That tree’s (some more) branches are having sprouts, i.e., the sense objects such as Sabdham (sound), nourished by the qualities such as sathva, rajas and thamas, spreading below as well as above .<\/p>\n ‘Below as well as above, do its branches spread This Tree having the branches of man etc., ramify downwards along with other branches, \u2014arising from karma<\/em>– showing but as men, animals etc. It ramifies upwards in the shape of Gandharvas, Yakshas, Devas etc. The branches get nourished by the Gu\u1e47as, viz:<\/em> Satvam etc. (Vide:<\/em> Lecture XIV<\/a>).
