Chapter 15<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 15 verse 13<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n aha\u1e41 vai\u015bv\u0101naro bh\u016btv\u0101 ‘Becoming Vai\u015bv\u0101nara, I do take possession of the bodies of living creatures; and joined with Pr\u0101\u1e47a and Ap\u0101na, do digest the four-fold food.’<\/span><\/p>\n Vai\u015bv\u0101nara<\/em>=the digesting heat in the stomach. That, I become in the bodies of all living beings (pr\u0101\u1e47aya\u1e25<\/em>), and joined with the varieties of vital breath, viz.,<\/em> Pr\u0101\u1e47a and Ap\u0101na, digest the four classes of food which they eat, viz:<\/em> that which is (1) chewed (kh\u0101dya<\/em>), (2) sucked (\u015boshya<\/em>), (3) licked (lehya<\/em>) and (4) drunk (peya<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n Inasmuch as the moon, and fire (Vai\u015bv\u0101nara) constitute Parama-purusha\u2019s expressed glory, the expressions \u2018I, becoming the moon\u2019 (XV-13<\/a>), \u2018Becoming Vai\u015bv\u0101nara\u2019 (XV-14<\/a>) etc., are meant to indicate the predicated relation those objects stand to Him.
