Chapter 15<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 15 verse 17<\/a><\/p>\n yasmAth ksharam athItho\u2019ham aksharAdh api chOththama: |<\/em> aham – I Since I am surpassing the kshara purusha (bound souls) and being greater than akshara purusha (liberated souls), I am reputedly known as purushOththama in Sruthi and smruthi.<\/p>\n ‘Since I do surpass the Kshara and even do excel the Akshara, I am reputed as Purushottama both in the Sm\u1e5bitis and the Vedas.’<\/span><\/p>\n Inasmuch as, for reasons stated aforesaid, I am beyond the Kshara-soul \u2014described\u2014 and transcend also the Akshara-soul \u2014the mukta<\/em>, described\u2014 (hence), I am renowned as Purushottama \u2014the Sublimest Purusha.<\/span><\/p>\n Loka<\/em>=Sm\u1e5biti, by reason of its seeing (inquiring or understanding) the meanings of the Vedas.[1.
