Chapter 16<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 16 Verse 7<\/a><\/p>\n Simple<\/a><\/p>\n asatyam aprati\u1e63\u1e6dha\u1e41 te ‘Say they: \u201cthe Universe is unreal, without prop, without Lord; and what else is it but the product of mutual union, (of male and female) having lust for (its) cause?\u201d’<\/span><\/p>\n Asatyam<\/em> = Unreal, or that which is not an effect sprung from Brahm Who is Truth.<\/span><\/p>\n Apratish\u1e6dham<\/em> = Without prop i.e.<\/em>, not having Brahm for its (Universe\u2019s) rest or prop. Says an authority: \u2018This Universe is borne on the head of the Serpent-King, the Universe (in its turn) supporting the chain of spheres along with (their denizens) men, demons, and gods.\u2019[1. Vish: Pur:<\/em> II-5-27: \u2018Ten-eyam n\u0101ga-varye\u1e47a, \u015biras\u0101 vidh\u1e5bit\u0101 mah\u012b.\u2019]<\/span><\/p>\n An\u012b\u015bvaram<\/em> = Without a Lord or God-less; i.e.<\/em>, they say that this universe is not under the Government of a God \u2014Myself\u2014 Who is Infallible-willed, Supreme Brahm, Lord of all etc., as declared for example in:\u2014 \u2018I am the Origin of all; from Me operates everything\u2019 etc., (Gi:<\/em> X-8<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n They also prate<\/a> thus: \u201cDo we find it (Universe) anything more than the product of the mutual union of male and female sexes \u2014the products known as man, beast etc?
