ego (of thinking that everything can be accomplished on their own)<br \/>\nbalam &#8211; (that my strength is enough to achieve everything) self strength<br \/>\ndharpam &#8211; pride (of thinking that there is no match for self)<br \/>\nkAmam &#8211; lust (to accomplish everything with such desire)<br \/>\nkrOdham cha &#8211; and anger (to destroy everyone who causes hurdles for such accomplishments)<br \/>\nsamSrithA: &#8211; holding on to<br \/>\nAthma para dhEhEshu mAm &#8211; towards me who is present in such persons and others (controlling all)<br \/>\nabhyasUyakA: &#8211; having jealousy (to blame me with their cunning ways)<br \/>\npradhvishantha: &#8211; unable to tolerate (me)<br \/>\n(are engaging in various yAgams etc as explained before).<\/p>\n<h3>Simple Translation<\/h3>\n<p>Holding on to ego (of thinking that everything can be accomplished on their own), (that my strength is enough to achieve everything) self strength, pride (of thinking that there is no match for self), lust (to accomplish everything with such desire) and anger (to destroy everyone who causes hurdles for such accomplishments), having jealousy (to blame me with their cunning ways) towards me who is present in such persons and others (controlling all) and unable to tolerate me (they are engaging in various yAgams etc as explained before).<\/p>\n<h3>Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy\u2019s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Espoused to self-hood, strength, consequence, lust and wrath, do they in malice antagonize Me in their own and others\u2019 bodies.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Aha\u1e47k\u0101ra<\/em> = Self-hood, = the conceit: \u2018<em>I<\/em> can do everything without any extraneous aid.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Balam<\/em> = In so doing, \u2018my single strength is all-sufficient.\u2019 Hence;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Darpam<\/em> = Consequence; = \u2018the importance of Myself to the exclusion of others.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inasmuch as I am so, \u2018by My mere lusting or willing after, every desire is fulfilled.\u2019 \u2018And those who cause me evil, I shall slay them all&#8217; = <em>wrath (krodha)<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surrendering themselves to such passions, they evince malice towards Me, the Omnific Purushottama, dwelling in themselves as well as in the bodies of others, and make enemies with Me;
