in cleanliness, rectitude, chastity and harmless-ness&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Worship<\/em> (or reverent treatment rendered by the body) to the Gods, the Twice-born (=the <em>deivas<\/em> or the <em>Br\u0101hma\u1e47as<\/em>, the spiritual classes), the Teachers (=the <em>gurus<\/em>) and other men, who are ripe in (spiritual) wisdom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u015aaucham<\/em> = Cleanliness of person by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/ablution#Noun\">ablutions<\/a> in holy waters, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u0100rjavam<\/em> = Conduct in keeping with the intent (of mind).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Brahma-charyam<\/em> = Chastity or the absence of lustful looking at women etc.,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Ahims\u0101<\/em> = Absence of injury to creatures (<em>harm lessness<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These constitute Bodily Austerity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/17-15-original\/\">&gt;&gt;
