Hear from me, the truth about this thyAga which is viewed differently by different persons. Oh leader among men! Was this thyAga (which is observed while performing karmas) not explained previously (by me) as three-fold?<\/p>\n<h3>Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy\u2019s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Hear from Me, O Bharata-Best! the truth about this Ty\u0101ga. Verily Ty\u0101ga, O Tiger of men! is distinguished as threefold.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While yet performing Vaidika-works there can yet be Ty\u0101ga or Renunciation (not abandonment) which I have already expounded to you as of three kinds:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Firstly): Renunciation <em>with reference to fruit;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Secondly): Renunciation <em>with reference to work<\/em>;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Thirdly): Renunciation <em>with reference to agent.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Renunciation <em>with reference to fruit<\/em>, in other words, (performing works, and) abandoning fruits thereof, such as Svarga etc., they beget, found its expression in the Stanza:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018With mind, \u0101tma-absorbed, rest all works in Me. Rid of desire and \u2018 my-ness\u2019 and of (mental) fever, fight\u2019 (<em>Gi:<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/githa.koyil.org\/index.php\/3-30-original\/\">III-30<\/a>).
