Why?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because those acts pertaining as they do to the several <em>var\u1e47as<\/em> and <em>\u0101\u015bramas<\/em>[1. The four <em>var\u1e47as<\/em> are Br\u0101hma\u1e47a, Kshatriya, Vai\u015bya and \u015a\u016bdra. The four <em>a\u015bramas<\/em> are Brahmacharya (bachelor and student), G\u0101rhastya (married life), V\u0101naprastha (retired forest life) and Sany\u0101sa (monastic or ascetic life).] (\u2018castes\u2019 and \u2018orders\u2019 of life) do purify the wise (<em>manishi\u1e47ah<\/em>) = the thoughtful or reflecting persons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The thoughtfulness or reflection here meant is <em>up\u0101sana<\/em> or religious meditation, in which the Moksha-aspirant is supposed to be engaged till the last.
