Chapter 18<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 18 Verse 19<\/a><\/p>\n sarvabhUthEshu yEnaikam bhAvam avyayam IkshathE |<\/em> yEna – by that gyAnam (knowledge) Know as “sAthvika gyAnam”, that gyAnam (knowledge), by which one sees the AthmA, which is not being different (in qualities such as colour, form etc), unchanging and is in a singular state (not being different based on the species etc), and which is in all creatures (having classifications such as brAhmaNa, kshathriya etc, who are engaged in karma).<\/p>\n ‘That knowledge, know, is S\u0101tvika, by which one sees the one indestructible reality in all beings, \u2014the indivisible in the divisible.’<\/span><\/p>\n The division<\/em> among beings is the division as Br\u0101hma\u1e47as (the hierarchy), Kshatriyas (the royalty) etc., (Brahmach\u0101ri (student), G\u1e5bihastha (householder) etc., who are all qualified for performing works; and also the divisions (or differences) numerous such as white, tall etc. Seeing the one reality<\/em> is seeing the oneness of the essence of \u0101tma, and seeing it as indivisible<\/em> is by reason of all \u0101tma sharing in common the one attribute of intelligence; and seeing it as indestructible<\/em> or unchangeable amid the destructible or changeable bodies such as that of a Br\u0101hma\u1e47a etc., and also seeing that while in the capacity of performing an act (or ceremony) that the actor (\u2014\u0101tma) has no interest in the fruit of that act.
