Ceasing from those pursuits would thus be giving up <em>loves and hates<\/em>;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seeking <em>solitude<\/em> is resorting to sequestered spots where one is aloof from all disturbances to meditation;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Light diet<\/em> is moderate diet, between overloading and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/famish#Verb\">famishing<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Speech, body and mind, governed<\/em> means directing them all towards meditation;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Ever devoted to Dhy\u0101na-Yoga<\/em> = Being daily engaged in Bhakti-Contemplation, till the day of departure;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Wedded to dispassion<\/em> = Gradually increasing the aversion for all things other than \u0101tma, by dwelling over their imperfections;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Aha\u1e45k\u0101ra<\/em> = The love of self in what is not-self; or the mis-notion that apprehends what is not \u0101tma as \u0101tma;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Balam<\/em> = Power of previous associations (<em>v\u0101sanas<\/em>), which helps growth of <em>aha\u1e45k\u0101ra<\/em>;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Darpam<\/em> = Pride or <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/conceit#Noun\">conceit<\/a> that follows from <em>balam<\/em>.
