Chapter 18<\/a><\/p>\n << Chapter 18 Verse 66<\/a><\/p>\n idham thE nAthapaskAya nAbhakthAya kadhAchana |<\/em> idham – this SAsthram (which was confidentially explained to you by me) This SAsthram (which was confidentially explained to you by me) should not be told by you to one who has not performed penance; it should not be told ever to one who is not devoted (towards you and me); it should not be told to one who is not desirous in hearing; it should not be told to one who hates me too.<\/p>\n ‘This to you. It is not to be revealed to the non-austere, to the loveless; not to the undutiful, and never to him who hates Me.’<\/span><\/p>\n This to you<\/em> = This Science, the most esoteric that I have divulged to you.<\/span><\/p>\n Atapask\u0101ya<\/em> = To one who does not undergo rigid austerities, this Science ought not to be disclosed.<\/span><\/p>\n Abhakt\u0101ya<\/em> = To him who has no love for you, the teller (of the science,) \u2014nor for Me. Even if one should undergo the tests (of discipleship), but if he is destitute of love, he ought not to be initiated (into this Secret).<\/span><\/p>\n A-\u015bu\u015br\u016bshave<\/em> = Undutiful.
