4.2 evaṁ paramparā-prāptam (Original)

SrI: SrImathE SatakOpAya nama: SrImathE rAmAnujAya nama: SrImath varavaramunayE nama:

evaṁ paramparā-prāptam
imaṁ rājarṣayo viduḥ
sa kāleneha mahatā
yogo naṣṭaḥ paran-tapa

‘So handed down successively, the Royal Sages
(Rājarshis) came to know it; but by (long lapse of) time, O Parantapa[1. Meaning ‘Harasser of foes’=(Arjuna)]!, the Yoga declined.’
