Simple Translation

‘Of the Vṛishṇis[1. See Geneal: Tree at end, Lec: I] I am Vāsudeva; of the Pāndavas, Dhanañjaya[2. ‘The Conqueror of wealth’ = Arjuna.]; of the Munīs also, I am Vyāsa; (and) of Sages, I am Uśanas[3. Uśanas=Śukra=the Son of Bhṛigu, = the priest, and preceptor of the Daityas.].’
The being the son of Vasudeva is the manifested expression of the Lord, Vāsudeva being the Lord direct.
Of the Pandavas, I am (2) Dhanañjaya=Arjuna.
Munis are those who in silent meditation realize truths. Of them I am Vyāsa.
Kavayaḥ are sages or savants.
