Evam ukthvA thathO rAjan mahAyOgESvarO hari: |
dharSayAm Asa pArthAya paramam rUpam aiSvaram ||

word-by-word meaning

sanjaya uvAcha-  Sanjaya said,
rAjan – Oh king dhrutharAshtra!
mahA yOgESvara: hari: – krishNa, the lord, who is together with amazing aspects
Evam ukthvA – saying thus
thatha: – then
pArthAya – to the son of kunthI!
paramam – incomparable
aiSvaram – exclusive to him
rUpam – viSvarUpam
dharSayAmAsa – manifested

Simple Translation

sanjaya said – Oh king dhrutharAshtra! krishNa, the lord, who is together with amazing aspects, saying thus, then manifested to the son of kunthI, the incomparable viSvarUpam which is exclusive to him.

Sañjaya said (to Dhṛitarāshtra):—

‘So saying then, O king! Hari[2. Hari=The 361st and 656th name of Vishṇu as He who removes obstacles or sins. Also vide Mahā: bhā: Śānti-parvq III-43-39.], the Great Lord of yoga, disclosed to Pārtha, His Supreme Sovereign spectacle.’

So saying, He who was seated as Charioteer in the chariot, Arjuna’s own maternal brother-in-law[3. Maternal uncle’s son.] (!) the Great Lord of yoga —or united centre of Perfections and Magnificence— or the Lord of wonderful Powers —Hari[4. Hari=The 361st and 656th name of Vishṇu as He who removes obstacles or sins. Also vide Mahā: bhā: Śānti-parvq III-43-39.], —Who is Parabrahma Nārāyaṇa,—unravelled to Arjuna, His own paternal brother-in-law[5. Paternal aunt’s son.], His extraordinary Sovereign Form; —the Form, the Seat of all the diverse and wonderful Kosmos; the Form, commanding all.
