mām āśritya yatanti ye
te brahma tad viduḥ kṛtsnam

‘Those who strive for deliverance from dotage and death, (have to) know (1) the Tad-brahma, (2) the whole Adhyātma and (3) all Karma.1

‘Deliverance from dotage and death’ means the disjunction from matter-connections, and achieving ātma-realization in its distinctness therefrom.2

Those who seek and worship Me with this object have to know what Tad-brahma3 is, what the whole Adhyātma4 is, and what all the Karma5 is.
