brahmāgnāv apare yajñaṁ
yajñenaivopajuhvati
‘Others pour into Brahma-fire, yajña with yajña’[1. Cp: ‘Yajñena yajñam ayajanta Devāh.’ (Tait: Up°. Purusha-sūkta).]. Here, with yajña refers to the apparatus, food etc., used in the (Vedic) Sacrifices.’
Others, (karma-yogis), adopt for their practice the several yāgas[2. Yāgas are the great Sacrificial rites inculcated in the Vedas, such as aśvamedha-yāga, rāja sūya-yāga, garuda-chayana etc.] and homas[3. Homas are Sacrifices in which consecrated fire is a sine qua non in which offerings (food etc.,) are burnt.], in consonance with the ideal presented in:—
‘By Brahma-apparatus, the Brahma-oblation’ etc. (iv-24).
