Simple Translation
The man who is desirous to hear, who is free from envy, and who simply hears this SAsthram, being freed (from the sins which are the hurdles to begin devotion towards me), will reach the auspicious assemblies of (my) devotees who have performed many virtuous deeds.
Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy’s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam
‘And whoso man, in faith, and exempt from envy, even hears (it), he also is released and shall reach the Blessed Abodes of the Righteous.’
The mere hearing of our discourse by one of faith, by one from malice free, is enough. It will deliver him from the sins obstructing him in the pursuit of Bhakti-Yoga. He will join the ranks of My Bhaktas (God-lovers) dwelling in the Blessed Regions.
