śrī-bhagavān uvāca
kutas tvā kaśmalam idaṁ
viṣame samupasthitam
anārya-juṣṭam asvargyam
akīrti-karam arjuna

‘Arjuna! What causes thee this ill-timed melancholy, hateful to philosophers, a block to Svarga[2. Higher-world or celestial conditions of eternal unalloyed bliss = moksa], and affecting (thy) reputation?’
