10.24 purodhasāṁ ca mukhyaṁ māṁ (Original)

SrI: SrImathE SatakOpAya nama: SrImathE rAmAnujAya nama: SrImath varavaramunayE nama:

purodhasāṁ ca mukhyaṁ māṁ
viddhi pārtha bṛhaspatim
senānīnām ahaṁ skandaḥ
sarasām asmi sāgaraḥ

‘Know Me, Pārtha! to be Bṛihaspati¹, the chief of the domestic priests; of the army-commanders, I am Skanda²; of water-reservoirs, I am the Ocean.’

The chief of domestic priests, Bṛihaspati, I am. Senāni = Senāpati= commanders of armies. Of these I am Skanda³.

Of waters (or water-collections) I am the Ocean.
