SlOkam – Original

ananthavIryAmithavikramas thvam sarvam samApnOshi thathO’si sarva: ||

word-by-word meaning (based on puththUr krishNamAchArya swAmy’s thamizh translation)

anantha vIrya – Oh one who is having infinite energy!
amitha vikrama: thvam – you who are having immeasurable prowess
sarvam – all entities other than yourself
samApnOshi – pervaded (as antharAthmA)
thatha: – hence
sarva: asi – you are called by the names of all those entities

Simple Translation (based on puththUr krishNamAchArya swAmy’s thamizh translation)

Oh one who is having infinite energy! You who are having immeasurable prowess, have pervaded all entities other than yourself (as antharAthmA); hence you are called by the names of all those entities.

Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy’s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam

‘O Infinite Energy! of infinite prowess are You. You do interpenetrate all things. So are You the All1‘.

O Infinite Energy! Your valour is beyond measure. As Soul (or Spirit), You do enter into all things. Hence You are the All, for You are the Soul of all the multitude of entities, the Intelligent and the Non-intelligent. All the Intelligent and the Non-intelligent Principles constitute Your body, and are related to You as Your modes. Hence You are the Substance or Kernel, of which all else is but mode; and every name is a name of You. It is clear the immanent or omnipresent character of God (in Spirit) is the rationale of all such descriptions as: ‘You are Akshara, Sat, Asat’ etc, (Gi: xi-37); ‘Vāyu, Yama, Agni (etc., are You)’ (Gi: xi-39); known as the method of ‘Common reference of predicates’ (sāmānādhikāraṇya). Of similar import are also the passages: ‘O of Infinite Form! pervaded by You is all the Kosmos’ (Gi: xi-38); ‘You do interpenetrate all’ (Gi: xi-40); etc.
