Simple Translation
Place your heart/mind in me only, have firm faith in me (as the ultimate goal); on accepting/following this principle, there is no doubt that you will live in me.
Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy’s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam
‘In Me alone rest your manas,[1. For Buddhi; Manas, vide footnotes to verse 3.40.] into me let your buddhi[2. For Buddhi; Manas, vide footnotes to verse 3.40.] enter; in me alone shall you thence doubtless abide.’
Inasmuch as I am the Highest Hope (of man), most easily attainable, and swiftly reachable, let your manas (heart) find its peace in Me; and let your buddhi (intellect) enter = let it constantly think that I am the Supreme End.
Thence, i.e., after the heart and intellect are so directed and disciplined, you shall reside (ever) in Myself.
