nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi
nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo
na śoṣayati mārutaḥ

‘This ātmā the weapons cleave not; this, fire burns not; this, water wets not; and wind withers not this.’
