SvaSurAn suhrudhaS chaiva sEnayOr ubhayOr api
thAn samIkṣhya sa kaunthEya: sarvAn bandhUn avasthithAn

SvaSurAn – fathers-in-law
suhrudha: – well-wishers
ubhayO: api sEnayO – in both the armies
sa kaunthEya – arjuna who is the son of kunthi
avasthithAn – those who are standing (to fight)
thAn bhandhUn – those relatives
samIkshya – seeing well
