of poetic metres, I am Gāyatrī; of months, I am Mārgaśīrsha[2. November-December, called the Agrahāyaṇa, or the month with which the year commenced at one time.]; of seasons, I am the Flowery[3. April-May (Vasanta).].’

Of Sāma-chants (Vide X-22), I am Bṛihat-Sāma; of Vedic (holy) metres, I am Gāyatrī.
