yathā nadīnāṁ bahavo ’mbu-vegāḥ
samudram evābhimukhā dravanti
tathā tavāmī nara-loka-vīrā
viśanti vaktrāṇy abhivijvalanti

‘Like unto the waters of rivers flowing rapidly seaward, so do these heroes of the human world pour into Thy blazing mouths.’
