Oh vishNu! You are consuming all these warriors with your fiery mouths and licking them all around many times; the radiance of your fierce rays fill all the world and burn.

‘Lap You all round, with Your fiery mouths, all the worlds, morsels-made. The lights of Your fierce rays, Vishṇu! fill the Kosmos, and burn.’

The royal folk, You catch in Your burning mouths, and in Your rage, violent, lick the blood that wets your lips, again and again. Your fierce rays encompass the worlds with their light and deadly burn.
