Simple Translation
Oh son of prthA (kunthI)! When incidental battles come about, such battles will lead fortunate kings towards attaining the means for liberation after having the hurdles removed.
Note: Here liberation does not mean immediate mOksham. But it is explained as a right step in the direction of the ultimate realisation of one’s true nature as all righteous activities are explained to be pleasing to vishNu and guides the individual towards such liberation.
Rendering based on ALkoNdavilli gOvindhAchArya swAmy’s English translation of gIthA bhAshyam
‘Fortunate Kshatriyas, Pārtha, meet with such an unsolicited war, leading unhindered to the door of Svarga.’
As happening without effort, and as when it happens, constituting the means for attaining to much happiness, without obstacles in the way, such a war can only fall to the lot of fortunate Kshatriyas.
