kāmātmānaḥ svarga-parā
janma-karma-phala-pradām
kriyā-viśeṣa-bahulāṁ
bhogaiśvarya-gatiṁ prati

‘(Who), hearts full of lusts, Svarga-minded, talk of the laborious varieties of rites which would bring pelf and power, and produce such effects as would end in rebirths.’
