2.68 tasmād yasya mahā-bāho (Original)

Chapter 2

Simple

tasmād yasya mahā-bāho
nigṛhītāni sarvaśaḥ
indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyas
tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā

‘Therefore, O mighty-armed! Whose senses have in every way been withdrawn from their objects, his wisdom (or will) is established.’

Therefore in the manner expounded by Me thus, whoso, with his mind entered into Me -a Holy Subject for contemplation- has his senses in every way completely abstracted from their objects, to him belongs the establishment (or installation) of his wisdom (or will) in ātmā.

The attainments of the man who has subjugated senses, and whose mind is in pure serenity, is now mentioned:
