tatra taṁ buddhi-saṁyogaṁ
labhate paurva-dehikam
yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ
saṁsiddhau kuru-nandana

‘Here picketh he up, the memory-link connected with his previous body; thence again, O Son of Kuru! doth he strive towards (yoga)-perfection.’
