ahiṁsā satyam akrodhas
tyāgaḥ śāntir apaiśunam
dayā bhūteṣv aloluptvaṁ
mārdavaṁ hrīr acāpalam

‘Harmlessness, veracity, wrathlessness, renunciation, serenity, slanderlessness, sympathy for life, relishlessness, gentleness, modesty, fickle-lessness.’
